Now InBev is looking at Staropramen

Only a couple of weeks ago, the Prague Post reported that Anheuser-Busch (parent company Belgian InBev) was trying to buy Budvar, Czech brewer of the original Budweiser.

Now, InBev is eyeing another Czech beer-maker, Staropramen. I’ve had this beer, as well as the Czech Budweis and I like both of them. I’m not a beer connoisseur the way Dad was, but I don’t like the sound of all this cannibalism in the beer industry, no matter how much I like Belgium. Scroll down to the first item under ‘Business’.

If you really want to give yourself a headache, take a look at all the brands now under the InBev umbrella. Imagine my surprise seeing Iceland spring water on the list, too. Yikes!
