Being on the cusp of the weekend, which will inevitably involve a few beers, I found this post on suzannethetravelmagpie’s blog interesting. It relates to an article from the Prague Post detailing drinking habits across Europe. Despite being constantly told by the media and government that UK drinkers are out of control and some of the worst in Europe it transpires that we don’t even make it into the top ten highest drinking European nations. And despite being told that Mediterranean nations have a generally healthier relationship with alcohol than us Spain, Portugal and Montenegro all made the list. How about that.

I’m not saying that we don’t have problems with alcohol consumption, any trip into any UK town centre on a Friday or Saturday night will prove that, but I thought it made interesting reading nonetheless.
