London businesses were concerned that the Olympics would be the only big moneymakers in August and would keep locals away who feared citywide gridlock. They may have been right to worry.
Sky-high hotel rates probably don’t help. I feel bad for the London cabbies. I usually take at least 2 taxi rides when I visit London and being able to chat with these knowledgeable locals is some of the most interesting time I spend in town.
C’mon, Londoners! Go out to dinner this month; go to the theatre; visit a museum. Take a cab ride!
