Uh-oh! While researching trains between Croatia and Germany, I came across the Munich Oktoberfest website. The dates overlap the days when I hope to be in Germany. This could turn out to be a dangerous trip for some unexpected reasons! Time for a rethink.

If you’ve never been you HAVE to go! It is excellent. But of course if you’ve already been you’ll alredy know that, so you’ll already be adjusting your plans apropriately! 🙂
I’ve never been and I’ve altered my plans for my time in Germany after the Balkans to include Munnich. The “tents” look incredible. I will be blogging all about it in a couple of months and figure I must take as many pictures as possible while still sober. My camera doesn’t have image stabilization!
Fantastic! I’m sure you’re going to love it. And I’m sure we’ll enjoy your blogs about it, despite being jealous. The tents are fantastic, such great atmosphere. If you get there early enough try and get in the tent where the Mayor opens the first keg. We didn’t manage it but it looked like fun. Good call on the camera plan!
Alas, I won’t be able to catch the mayor doing the first-barrel honors. I’m just happy my travel plans were not yet cast in stone (and credit card) when I saw the advert.
Ein Bier, bitte! (Hey, it’s a start).
