From London Independent.
A 24-hour restau on the 40th floor of Heron Tower, Bishopsgate, the Duck & Waffle is open all day and has amazing food. I probably would not have bothered posting this, but the name is curious, dontcha think? Maybe next time I’ll check it out and see if the food measures up.
On a tipsier note, an interesting list of ten top rums. I’ve heard of a couple of them, but not tried any. Not much of a rum drinker any more. Still, it’s too bad that my college (ssshh!) fave is no longer around – a New England brand known as Caldwell’s Old Newburyport. [Note – there is another rum called Folly Cove from a distillery in Gloucester, MA that is supposedly a close match]. Thankfully, my last bottle of Caldwell’s is OK, even if it has spent more than 20 years in the bottle in my liquor cabinet. And there’s also the half bottle of Gosling’s Black Seal rum from Bermuda. Good stuff for pickling fruitcake!
Breakfast of duck, waffles AND rum? Hmmm.
The Duck & Waffle is grand! Tasty food and a view that would wake anyone up
It’s on my list for my next visit. Thanks!
