Here’s the link with information on this weekend’s Tube closures – hardly anything is down, a good weekend for going ANYwhere! Click here to see how lane closures along Victoria Embankment, among other locations, will foul traffic for the rest of the year. Fun fun fun!
Click here for the press release relating to line extensions from Liverpool St for London Overground and some fare reductions. Wow! And some rebranding with the Crossrail project. Do we really need that bit? Only the shareholders know for sure.
See the Hot Link on this blog page for planned closures on the London Transport network for the next six months.

Jubilee line – Sunday only – closure between Waterloo and Finchley Road
DLR – Saturday and Sunday – no service from Westferry/Poplar to Island Gardens
London Overground – service disruptions Sunday only – Clapham Junction to Willesden Junction and between Sydenham and West Croydon.
A closure on Tuesday from 14:00 until late evening on the section of London Trams between Reeves Corner and East Croydon due to a sporting event.
Road closures and disruptions listed here. Sorry – I’m too lazy to spell these out any more. Regent St is closed to traffic on Sunday from 4 pm onwards. The Cut in Southwark is closed for the next couple of weeks and there is the possibility of road snarls around Wembley stadium if Arsenal wins. I don’t follow the football, so I’ve no idea how likely this is but if the possibility is worth noting, I imagine the turf accountants will be doing well!
Reminders –
Tottenham Court Road station – Central line trains will not stop here until early December 2015.
Covent Garden station (Piccadilly line)- exit only until early November 2015; westbound trains will not stop here on weekends (keep on confusing those tourists!) I only hope I remember this if I’m in London before they’re done mooching around replacing those lifts.
