I’m sitting and listening to a TV program about London food. They mentioned food stalls at the South Bank – something I’ve never experienced; I guess I’ve not gone to the South Bank at the right time.
Along the same lines – street food – here’s a link showing the top twenty food trucks in London. Not all are on the South Bank, so maybe there’s at least one not far from wherever you find yourself next time you’re in London.
The to-do list for my next trip to London is shaping up!
I just wrote a post about this, the Real Food fest sets up there every Fri, Sat and Sunday these days 🙂 http://londonmunchies.wordpress.com/2013/04/04/keep-it-real-at-the-real-food-market-on-south-bank/
Suzanne,
The food trucks on the SouthBank are generally near the RNT. Brief-review: Edible. Period.
Steve
The only time I saw trucks or stands on the South Bank was near Xmas two years ago and that was more of a holiday market than anything apparently permanent.
Ah well. Perhaps it is too much to expect the Brits to copy an American food trend and get all the important ‘details’ right.
I guess hearing about a really good taco truck in Paris made me assume that London had expanded their eat and run options, important for someone like me who is more inclined to buy something from Tesco Express to eat in my hotel room.
